If you are wanting to find some great video tutorials on how to get started with PHP, then I recommend taking a look at the fantastic tutorial series by Leigh Mackay (or Batman as some call him), over at PHPVideoTutorials.com. The site has recently been revamped, and now offers a subscription service to allow you to have access to all of the paid videos and any upcoming video’s for as long as you are subscribed

They are easy to follow, and give you a fun environment to learn in whilst you watch Leigh setting everything up ready to get going, and taking you through the basics of PHP to get you into the more advanced features including regular expressions, MySQL and reading & writing files

Once you’ve mastered the basics, you can then move on to more advanced video tutorials available to purchase both on their own and as part of an ongoing subsciption. The prices for these are unbelievably cheap, considering you get to learn so much as you are walked through creating fully operational websites of your own from shopping carts to content management systems.

There is also a PHPVT Forum to use if you are having trouble with anything PHP or just web related, which I am a moderator of (username: JAY6390). Questions are answered pretty quickly on there so you should find solutions to all of your web development problems. There are also a number of experts on a whole plethora of subjects including CakePHP, Javascript, XHTML, CSS, JQuery, AJAX, Design and more
